Everyone’s Busy (not HRP), part one

Aloha Friends. Welcome back.  Part one of two.

There are many strong and energy-filled conservatives and Republicans in Hawaii. Thank you. The Hawaii Republican Party can be better.

Montes, HIRA: HIRA eblast suggests donors send funds to candidates until HQ has competent leaders. Instead of raising campaign funds or filling the 50% districts without leaders, R/H/L decide to boot HIRA’s district-elected Montes from the State Cmte. Montes responds with LETTER-TO-STATE-CHAIR “you are wasting party member’s contributions and time“. Readers “The right to speak is not allowed in the HRP“. “No need to exaggerate because this just stinks to high heaven.  To avoid a conservative stand, people that speak up are banished. This is how far the HRP has sunk“.

Montes, continued: Exec Cmte met September 1. Four party members opposing the stupidity were removed from HQ before proceedings could begin. HQ couldn’t figure out their eblast system until September 14 – HQ voted to remove Montes because HRP values diversity and differences of opinion.” Montes response You deserve to know why the Hawaii Republican Assembly strongly encourages donors to give directly to candidates rather than squandering contributions on a silent, scared, poorly run party which never supports its own brave candidates.“ Rohlfing’s Kangaroo Court.

Readers “It took two weeks to announce this? How dysfunctional is that?” “They didn’t announce the changes to the Executive Committee or announce Erin Fale as Executive Director but they announce using their purity pledge resolution to kick one guy off the State Committee.” “Rohlfing fired someone elected by his district. That’s want Obama wants to do with every Congressman who wants to repeal Obamacare.” “Does Tito’s letter say who his replacement is?” “HIRA backed off HRP, and the Party accomplishing nothing. They actually regressed … less districts, less money, less messaging. With Tito gone, let’s watch them flourish since his being on the worthless State Committee apparently was the one thing holding them back.” “Actively hindering’ admits they are paralyzed, they didn’t say ‘attempting to hinder’ or ‘possibly hindering’”. Oh my. Why can’t HRP just fight against Democrats instead of causing all this infighting? “Does this action cause the end of the current HRP?” “[Montes] does not allow insidious evil to hide behind phony claims of diversity as RINOs & progressive Republicans do.” HRP supporter Wiggins to HQ “I find it frustrating the leadership can publish such a sad incident within our own ranks, yet we cannot seem to publish announcements on the daily failures of the democrat party“. District chair “Chickensh*t move by the Executive Committee…what next? Are they going to remove district chairs that donate HIRA (or Cruz, or Senate Conservative Fund)?”

-NRA BoD, Arlington VA. www.NRA.org All good. First meeting with Military and Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Ollie North. Former NRA Presidents Keene (brought him for Hawaii Friends of NRA Dinner 2012) and Porter (brought him for Hawaii Friends Dinner 2014 & HIRA Veterans’ Salute Dinner) attend. Three days (and nights) of committee meetings + full day of formal BoD. Goal is $50M+ to support 2016 campaigns while maintaining NRA core commitments to safety, education and shooting. 5M+ membership added 100k in the past year, including a successful Nashville Annual meeting. 1,100 Friends of NRA banquets provided 2000+ grants in 50 states. New ads Freedoms Safest Place. Civil Rights Defense Fund supporting 20+ major legal actions. With an enormous amount of help, thoroughly humbled to be the first from Hawaii to be nominated by the NRA Nominating Committee for election to the NRA of America Board of Directors. Immensely honored and appreciative for Hawaii Rifle Assn and Hawaii FNRA endorsements. Thank you for your support. I hope to earn your (eligible voters) vote. Tough competition. National election is next spring.

-R debate, Reagan Library. Didn’t attend, watched several friends in the audience and spin room. Fiorina and Rubio crushed it. Cruz and Christie did well. Trump and Carson held their ground. Bush and Kasich and Huckabee improved. Paul and my guy Walker need help. Disagree that Graham won the early debate, Jindal was better. Not enough interest to host HRP HQ viewing party, but HQ sent out one email … asking for money. Update: with Walker & Perry out, shopping for a new candidate. Thankfully, we have a strong field of conservatives.

-ATR, Norquist, hosts conservative coalition invite-only conference call. This month, Boehner gave a five minute update then candidly fielded our questions for 25 minutes. Tax-oriented (it is ATR), Boehner also addressed defunding PP, capital gains tax, OCare failed exchanges (including Hawaii ‘disappeared’ $), CR/government shutdown, EPA, separation of powers, FATCA & DEPS tax grabs, 2016 House races. Good, organized call. Turns out, Boehner’s last. October = McConnell.

Planned Parenthood continues to kill babies. On FB “It is really sad that [Rohlfing, Hellriech, Tagavilla] won’t mobilize HRP to do anything about this issue or anything else.” Video 8 Video 9 One Just Fell Out of the Womb. Graphic Rios definition of PP Rios – PP Short. Video 10 Gonads! Oh my God, Gonads!

NFRA Convention follow up. NFRA Media Release on Presidential endorsement. HIRA release Hawaii’s Lee Elected National Exec VP made blogspot.com/lee-elected-nfra.   Humbled, honored, and blessed to have the opportunity to serve across the nation to elect conservatives and hold liberals – Democrats and Republicans – accountable.

-HRP FEC www.fec.gov   Rohlifing/Hellreich/Liu AGAIN in the RED with end of August report. Another RED month means AGAIN zero funds for messaging or Victory 2016; their now focus is “all money raised will be used to pay off the mortgage on the party headquarters“. Receipts drop to $7,994 = $3,188 contributions with only 9 contributors on record + $4,804 state account transfer + zero RNC charity. Sustaining Donors: up to 3/14 Exec Cmte (yes Rohlfing, no Liu or any county chair), only 1/51 District chairs, down to 4 members. When leaders don’t buy in, don’t expect others to do so. Disbursements = $20,720, includes 0 for Federal Election Activity, $1476 mortgage+2693 building maint+3579 property tax, 840 IMS accounting, 3586 Fale(she) salary+1367 payroll tax, 750 rent for Saiki’s copier, 234 cable, 253 phone, 2110 mail appeal print+500 postage (ROI on small mail universe?), 298 Senior Fair booth (ROI?), 1576 air tkt for private speaker visit (ROI?), 1050 Dbase software. Federal CoH was 46k, now down to 34.6k (plus 17k for mortgage of 118k remaining) [also 14k in CSC +7k counties]. Second shortest report, 21 pages, in a decade+, only Rohlfing’s June report was shorter. In four Rohlfing months, R/H/L raised 6.6k/month and spent 14.7k/month. FEC 7 of 8 months this CY and 9/10 months this election cycle in the RED. HRP CY now 21.1k in the RED including LDD revenue; election cycle in the RED 51k, living off ’14 RNC funds Saiki (ACU 50%) did NOT use to elect Republicans. HRP red 22/32 past reports, 4/4 since Hellreich crowned Rohlfing. Still NO Finance Director.

-HQ doesn’t have the knowledge, contacts, or funds – so, the RNC is finding the next party Finance Director and paying for three month’s salary, and loyalty.

-Tagavilla attended the Cleveland RNC meeting as Hawaii’s Executive Director so she didn’t have to pay registration, meals, or activity fees. When budgeted & funds are available (It isn’t, there aren’t), HRP uses your contributions to pay lodging and air for the ED to attend one meeting/year (of three) (Parson’s already attended in January.) Next FEC report we’ll see if HRP paid or if someone made an in-kind contribution (which are also funds not used to elect candidates). HOWEVER, at the same time, August, HRP paid Fale(her), with your donations, as ED. Some R isn’t being honest.

-Rohlfing whined to OLRW that he’s suffering – no cable & won’t watch football – because after two years as county chair and four months as state chair, he is finally a party sustaining donor. With compassion for his plight, we’re glad he was forced to do the right thing. Thank him (once we confirm the FEC report).

-Big Island reader “Before you can attempt to rehabilitate a drunk, he needs to hit bottom and admit he needs help.  The HRP is dragging itself on the bottom but still has not admitted they need help……other than to ask for more money to continue to do the same thing.“

-HIRA readers to HQ “We have stopped contributing to the HRP because the party doesn’t stand for anything.  We contribute and work for individual candidates, but HRP has proven itself to be hopelessly inept“. “Until you can show where the money goes, no more money from me“. “That is a lot of money to pay someone with little political experience“. “I talk to those that have run for office and those currently running and each one of them tell me that they get no support from the HRP.  So where does all the money go”? “This deal of paying the mortgage is ridiculous. The maintenance fee is more than the mortgage. They should move to another place“.

By the numbers

0.  HRP Finance Directors for more than 12 months.

0.  Reports from Saiki’s (ACU 50%) faux-audit, faux-coalitions, and faux election autopsy ‘committees.’

0.  Communications to HNL county members from anointed chair Fale(he). (ACU 50%)

5.  HRP lacks integrity to address Rs – Thielen (ACU 20%), Carroll, McDermott (60%), Pine, Fenton – who endorsed 2012 Ds against Rs. Add, 2014 Cheape (20%), Fukumoto (50%), Egge, and Hanneman’s ‘Rohlfing Rs.’

7.  Years without a HRP strategic plan, finance plan, campaign (Victory) plan.

11.  Months this cycle and 29 since Hellreich wrote “the need to use massive voter registration drives to Increase our chances of winning.” Still not.

33.  Months since the ’12 required HRP financial audit was to be conducted. 21 since the ’13 audit was due. Ten since HRP chair promised. Donors don’t give when finances are in question.

200.  $/ticket is HQ high-ball ask for HRP event. Campaigned in NM on Martinez first Gov primary. Google Martinez-McCleskey, Martinez-Christie, Martinez-racetrack, Martinez-background checks.

404.  Days (as of October 1) to the Presidential election.

1133.  People filed to run for President, 201 Republican.

-Liberal ‘excuse’ thing. Halvorsen raised 0 $ & has 0 CoH. Hochberg VM “Hey. It’s Hochberg. Hey, um, do you know that Susan Halvorsen is like 700 years pregnant and about to have a baby? So, while you’re criticizing her, you ought to call her up and tell her you’re sorry, or something.”   As if her CSC report didn’t show $0, as if she were “like 700 years pregnant” when she announced after her November loss, as if she were “like 700 years pregnant” and couldn’t use the phone from January-July, as if voters care she was “like 700 years pregnant,” as if women can’t (or, Hochberg, maybe shouldn’t?) do anything when they are pregnant. Hochberg led the criticism of HRP’s losing practice of waiting until the last minute to campaign. Yet, zero raised. This child is a precious blessing. Congratulations to Halvorsen’s. Gain peace from God’s gift, and have your manager stop making excuses.

Haters again whine, then confuse themselves by swearing that no one reads these reports. Some, such as Hemmings (Google him), with OLRW Thomas parroting, continue to ask why focus (they call it criticism) on Rs instead of Ds (we do that, also). 1. Read above “These reports chronicle HRP’s story“ and, 2. weak Republicans can’t fix our problems, per Jindal “it is time to get rid of the Republican Party”. Only a strong, conservative Republican Party can fix Hawaii’s problems. To Hemmings “It would be disingenuous to attack Democrats when Republicans are so incompetent and unprincipled.”

-At OLRW “We have some conservatives in the room,” with a head nod to HIRA members, suggests OL considers themselves not conservative, and the presence was so monumental it warranted announcing. VM from a longtime friend “You were the subject of Carol Thomas’s diatribe about the July 4 fundraiser and OLRW not participating.” Instead of discussing ways to help HRP, they waste time discussing these reports. Similar to Saiki (ACU 50%) unwisely alerting the entire RNC that HIRA was more effective than HRP, Thomas spread these reports to a larger audience.

HRP is unable to challenge Democrats and liberals on ideological positions until we solve our internal and administrative issues. We need a conservative, competent, committed, organized, manned, and funded HRP with committed leaders. Republicans must first fix their house.

-HIRA exposes liberals’ failures Toxic-Waste-Flows-Through-Democrat-Run-County-and-State as HRP just won’t/can’t do their job. Hemmings “The HIRA recent email was sensational“.

-Pine #1. Bribes, kickbacks, & favors. CB Accuses Council of Accepting Bribes. Smith “the first time I met [Pine] she lied to me and she has never stopped. She has a nasty side that is unbelievable. She is a disgusting person and a horrible representative“. “I know her to be a liar“. Concur. HIRA says Buying a Councilmember. Reader “Pine sure had everyone fooled! But hey, she was cute right?“

-HRP STILL hasn’t announced: (free to you) RNC training. “Republican Leadership Initiative provides activists the opportunity to develop organizing skills and cultivate an extensive volunteer network. If admitted for the six-week Fellowship, they will engage in extensive training workshops equipping them with the skills needed to function as professional field organizers.“ RLI Request

Cruz Op-ed “What happens in politics when one side is absolutely committed to its principles, willing to fight for them no matter the cost, and the other side reflexively surrenders on every issue? We have modern-day Washington“, and sixty years of Hawaii Democrat control.

-Boehner “I am proud of what we have accomplished. I will resign the Speakership and my seat in Congress on October 30“. Conservatives caught the bus, now do something with it.

ACU (CPAC host) ranks members of congress, and most states. Goal is all 50 states by end of 2015. First time = ACU Hawaii State Legislator’s Ratings. Disclaimer: I am on the ACUF BoD.

-Another reason to defeat Clinton, ATR’s Norquist reminds “As she testified before the Senate Finance Committee on Sept. 30, 1993, Clinton was asked by Sen. Bradley (D-N.J.) if she supported a new, 25% national sales tax on guns. Clinton emphatically endorsed the tax, stating: “I am all for that.”

US first in gun ownership, not top 100 for murders US = #1 internationally gun ownership, US = #111 internationally in murder/100,000. Click the embedded Whittle video. Hurting the US per capita rate, Chicago Murders = home of Obama, Immanuel, and the most strict gun-control laws

Random guy in Nashville. “My grandfather was an Archie Bunker sort of guy, he used to say “If the King James Bible was good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me.”

-Join Hawaii Rifle Association, HRA, to protect our Second Amendment and your gun (civil) rights.

ARE YOU SATISFIED? HRP needs leadership focused on HRP.  Forward this – people need to know, you need to act. Part 2 coming.
